CPD Summer Series
CHJS worked with Chicago Park District to help employees to make a positive impact in their own communities.
Engagement Summary
CHJS has partnered with the Chicago Park District (CPD), through the support of like, since 2018. We support their summer camp program by designing and implementing a training for about 2,000 camp counselors every year.
CHJS updates the content of the training yearly to ensure that repeat counselors are setting new information and skills while first time counselors are also getting vital foundational skills for working with young people.

Engagement Components
The CHJS and CPD has included:
• Working with park staff to design training content
• Training camp staff every year
• Training 2,000 camp counselors over two days at the beginning of each summer
• Supporting the collection and analysis of data from camp counselors on their perceptions of the trainings
