The Coaches Training Series in partnership with Nike is part of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s Coaching Investment, which includes Coach of the Year awards, paid coach mentors, and the Coaches Playbook: “Living Jackie’s Nine”. LADF partners with leading national organizations, Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS) and Dodgers Training Academy (DTA), to ensure all coaches have the resources and tools they need to coach and teach baseball and softball fundamentals, trauma-informed approaches, positive youth development strategies, empathy, and using sport as a vehicle for social change.

We empower coaches to embrace Jackie’s Nine Values while pursuing ‘Coaching for Lasting Impact’ with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.

By attending our Coaches Training Series, you will experience a newly designed hybrid training model between Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS) and Dodgers Training Academy (DTA) that:

  • Provides coaches and parents with new baseball and softball drills that model positive youth development strategies and support social-emotional and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Creates an environment where young athletes can show up, learn, and perform as their best selves.

Open to the Public: Coaches, parents, and staff members are welcome to participate. 
Children: This event is made for adults, but we understand the challenge of finding a babysitter. Children are welcome to join the coaches’ training, but must be near their parent/guardian at all times, and any children 13 years or older must be registered for the event.
