Trauma-Informed Mental Health Skill Building Trainings

Hosted by The Community Safety Coordination Center (CSCC)

This summer, the Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS) and the Community Safety Coordination Center (CSCC) will equip stakeholders from various Chicago neighborhoods with trauma-informed mental health skills. This training will enhance community support during the summer months when violence rates and compounding stressors typically increase.

Participants will learn strategies to:  

  • Build Relationships cscc
  • Create Trust and Psychological Safety
  • Use Tailored, Evidenced – Based Regulatory Activities
  • Navigate Engagement Approaches 
  • Address the Impact of Implicit Bias
  • Connect to Mental Health Resources

Community Areas: Austin, Greater Garfield Park, Greater Englewood, Little Village 

Tentative Schedule (2-day, 3-hour):

  • REGISTER –> Austin: Tuesdays – 6/25 & 7/2.
