July 2024 – This summer, the Center for Healing and Justice through Sport (CHJS) and the Community Safety Coordination Center (CSCC) will equip stakeholders from various Chicago neighborhoods with trauma-informed mental health skills. This training will enhance community support during the summer months when violence rates and compounding stressors typically increase.
Participants will learn strategies to:
- Build Relationships
- Create Trust and Psychological Safety
- Use Tailored, Evidenced – Based Regulatory Activities
- Navigate Engagement Approaches
- Address the Impact of Implicit Bias
- Connect to Mental Health Resources
